FISH UNJ Brings Home Seven Awards at the 2026 UNJ Research Expo and LPPM Awards

Jakarta, May 19, 2026 - The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (FISH UNJ), once again demonstrated its strong commitment to strengthening research culture, scientific publication, innovation, and community engagement. This commitment was reflected in FISH UNJ’s achievement of seven awards at the 2026 UNJ Research Expo and LPPM Awards, carrying the theme “Globalizing UNJ Research to Enhance Impact and Competitiveness.”

The event was held at Aula Latief Hendraningrat, Dewi Sartika Building, 2nd Floor, Campus A, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. It served as an appreciation forum for UNJ academics who have contributed to research development, community service, scientific publication, intellectual property, and impactful academic innovation.

The program opened with the singing of Indonesia Raya and the UNJ March, followed by a prayer and a traditional dance performance. The event then continued with remarks from the Head of LPPM UNJ, Prof. Dr. Iwan Sugihartono, M.Si., who expressed his hope that UNJ would continue to enhance the quality and impact of its research and innovation outputs.

Further remarks were delivered by the Secretary General of UNJ, Prof. Dr. Suyono, M.Si., representing the Rector of UNJ. In his speech, Prof. Suyono emphasized that university research should go beyond academic achievement and create tangible impacts for society, industry, government, and the international community.

“Research must be able to generate real impact for society, industry, government, and the international community. It must also strengthen the university’s position in the global arena through international collaboration, innovation, and contributions to solving global challenges,” said Prof. Suyono.

He also encouraged lecturers and researchers to continue producing academic works, writing, innovating, and contributing to the development of knowledge. The official opening of the event was marked by the striking of a gong.

The event also featured a scientific oration by the Director of Science and Technology Dissemination and Utilization at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Yudhi Dharma, Ph.D. In his presentation, Prof. Yudhi discussed several strategic issues, including the distribution of journals in Southeast Asia, the value chain of Indonesia’s strategic commodities, and the importance of transforming natural resources into research with practical value and competitiveness.

As part of the program, UNJ also presented a video showcasing its innovation products, launched the UNJ Intellectual Property Rights Application, and handed over several academic outputs, including the Community Service Anthology, Journal Catalogue, Applied Research Book, Bulak Village Study Book, and RSSG Depok City Study Book.

During the 2026 LPPM UNJ Awards session, FISH UNJ recorded a proud achievement by receiving seven awards across several categories. Prof. Dr. M. Japar, M.Si. received the 3rd Best Lecturer Award in the National Competitive Research Category (Dikti & BRIN) – Individual. In the field of intellectual property, Rayuna Handawati, S.Si., M.Pd. received the 1st Best Lecturer Award in the 2025 Copyright Category.

FISH UNJ also received the 3rd Best Faculty Award in the category of UNJ Journals with the Highest Number of SINTA-Accredited Journals. In addition, Saskara Journal, managed under FISH UNJ, was awarded Best Newly SINTA-Accredited Journal in the 2025 UNJ Accredited Journal Category.

Other achievements were recorded in the SINTA Score for Books category, with Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si. receiving the 1st Best Lecturer Award, and Noprita Herari, M.I.Kom. receiving the 2nd Best Lecturer Award. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Desy Safitri, M.Si. received an award for the Highest Individual 3-Year SINTA Score at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law. These seven awards are listed in the official attachment of the 2026 Research Expo award recipients.

The Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, Information Systems, and Cooperation of FISH UNJ, Dr. E. Nugrahaeni P., M.Si., stated that these achievements reflect the collective work of the FISH academic community in building a productive, collaborative, and impactful academic ecosystem.

“These achievements are not only about the number of awards received, but also about how FISH UNJ continues to strengthen its culture of research, publication, innovation, and community engagement. We hope these awards will become positive energy for lecturers, researchers, journal managers, and the entire FISH academic community to produce works that are relevant to society’s needs, support the achievement of the SDGs, and strengthen UNJ’s contribution at the national and global levels,” said Dr. E. Nugrahaeni P., M.Si.

FISH UNJ’s achievements at the 2026 UNJ Research Expo and LPPM Awards are also closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the strengthening of research and scientific publications; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, through innovation development and intellectual property; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through academic collaboration, knowledge dissemination, and research contributions that respond to societal challenges.

Through these achievements, FISH UNJ reaffirms its position as a faculty that is not only focused on the development of social sciences, law, education, and communication, but also committed to creating sustainable academic and social impact. The awards serve as evidence that FISH UNJ continues to advance institutional reputation, improve the quality of academic outputs, and support UNJ’s vision as an excellent, innovative, and globally competitive university.
