Jakarta, May 13, 2026 — The Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (FISH UNJ), in collaboration with Promedia Group, held the BRI Content Creator Laboratorium (CoreLab) 2026 at Aula Bung Hatta, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (May 13). The program served as a learning platform for students to gain practical insights into the digital content industry, social media trends, and the growing role of young creators in today’s media ecosystem.
BRI CoreLab 2026 featured several speakers with extensive experience in media and digital content production, including Agus Sulistriyono, CEO of Promedia Group; Agil Hari Santoso, General Manager of Media Network Promedia Group; and Miko Susilo, Founder of Jakarta Kolaborasi Terkini Network (JKTN) Media, also known as Jakarta Terkini.
The event was also attended by representatives of FISH UNJ. The Dean of FISH UNJ, Firdaus Wajdi, M.A., Ph.D., represented by the Vice Dean for Finance and Resources, Dr. Aris Munandar, M.Si., expressed support for collaborative activities that connect students with media industry practitioners. This initiative aligns with FISH UNJ’s commitment to strengthening practice-based learning, professional networking, and students’ competencies in digital communication.
In his session, Agus Sulistriyono emphasized the importance of understanding social media as one of the most influential platforms for content distribution today. He explained that social media trends can serve as a reference for content creators in developing ideas, choosing communication styles, and reaching wider audiences.
“We focus more on social media platforms, in line with current trends. Today, social media has become one of the most popular platforms for people from all backgrounds,” said Agus Sulistriyono. He hoped that the CoreLab program at UNJ would encourage students to learn more about creating creative, informative, and platform-relevant digital content.
Meanwhile, Miko Susilo highlighted the opportunity for students to take part as citizen journalists. According to him, content that is closely related to people’s daily lives has strong potential to attract public attention because it connects directly with real events and information needs within the community.
“The key is to create content that relates to people’s everyday lives,” Miko Susilo stated. He further encouraged students to see their digital devices as valuable tools for producing meaningful content, building creativity, and exploring opportunities in the digital content industry.
Through this activity, FISH UNJ continues to strengthen its role as an adaptive faculty that responds to the rapid development of media, communication, and digital culture. BRI CoreLab 2026 was not only designed as a technical training program in content creation, but also as part of a broader effort to enhance students’ digital literacy, creativity, and readiness to face the demands of the creative media industry.
This initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting relevant, practical, and skills-oriented learning experiences for students. By bringing industry practitioners into the academic environment, FISH UNJ continues to expand learning opportunities that prepare students to become creative, responsible, and impactful digital communicators.
