Addressing the challenges of the Society 5.0 era, the program featured four interdisciplinary sessions delivered by UNJ lecturers. Iqbal Syafruddin, S.Pd., M.I.P. presented on Digital Politics, discussing civic participation and democratic engagement in online spaces. Mitra Mustarica, S.Pd., M.Pd. explored Digital Ethics, emphasizing responsible behavior and ethical communication in digital environments. Fitri, S.H., M.H. delivered a session on Digital Literacy, highlighting the importance of critical thinking and information verification, while Fella Defilla, S.H., M.H. addressed Digital Law, providing participants with an understanding of legal responsibilities and regulations governing cyberspace.
The community engagement program successfully strengthened public understanding of digital citizenship by integrating perspectives from civic education, ethics, law, and digital literacy. Such initiatives have become increasingly important as technological transformation offers unprecedented opportunities while simultaneously creating challenges, including online polarization, privacy violations, cyber threats, misinformation, and legal issues arising from irresponsible digital behavior. Through comprehensive educational outreach, participants were encouraged to navigate digital spaces safely, ethically, and productively, ultimately contributing to healthier social interactions and a more sustainable digital economy. The initiative also demonstrated UNJ's commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Strengthening digital ethics and digital literacy directly supports SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing inclusive and relevant education that equips citizens with essential competencies for the digital age. Furthermore, discussions on digital politics and digital law contribute to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting a secure and legally compliant digital environment that enables sustainable participation in the digital economy. At the same time, fostering respectful online interactions supports SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by helping create healthier digital communities with reduced cyberbullying and psychological harm.
In line with Universitas Negeri Jakarta's institutional vision, the program also contributed to the achievement of the university's Key Performance Indicators (IKU), particularly IKU 7, which emphasizes institutional contributions toward the Sustainable Development Goals. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and community-centered engagement, UNJ reaffirms its commitment to serving not only as a center of academic excellence but also as an Agent of Change, generating measurable social impact and actively supporting sustainable development at both the national and global levels.
